Get to know the way we’ve been through!

There is a tireless dedication and a lot of effort behind our brands. Below we present a chronology of major events that shaped Kantar as it appears to be today.

August, 2013

The start of the construction

There was an initial plan to design 8 rental apartments, but market research guided us to a whole new concept for Armenia: a combination of hotel and hostel under one roof.

November, 2013

Kantar Yerevan

We finalized the branding strategy and the name for the upcoming project was set 'Kantar'. The project was named after Ghantar market, which operated until 1920's right in the exact place of where the hotel building stands today.

July, 2014

Business operations

We started running the hotel in mid-summer, and Kantar was a complete game-changer in the budget traveler market. Since the beginning we started getting above market average figures for occupancy rates, RevPAR, ADR and many other key hotel indicators.

January, 2020

Major renovation

After 6 years of operation we redesigned all the common areas, getting an open-space for breakfast area and common-room, redesigned the front desk to be more accommodative, renovated all shared hostel rooms, and tested a new hotel-room design for Kantar.

31.000+ customers with average 3-night stay have already been served during this period. Meanwhile Kantar Yerevan is ranked among the top three properties of Armenia as the most reviewed and the best reviewed one (with overall 3.000+ reviews on various platforms).

January, 2022

Upcoming project - Kantar Dilijan

For the second property location of Kantar brand we have chosen Dilijan, as one of the most important resorts of the region.
At Kantar Dilijan we have designed 16 rooms, including 12 hotel rooms (6*Standard Double/Twin + 4*Deluxe Double + 2 Apartments) and 4 hostel rooms (Private Room with Shared Bathroom + 3 four-bed dorms).
